This session will explain what acts of advocacy you can undertake to work towards IBM Champion status, and all the related foibles
Niall is a driven individual with a demonstrative experience working across a multitude of different environments including: → Mainframe Security Consulting → Aeronautical Engineering → Software Development Endeavouring to excellence, he has become skilled in a diverse range of applications/roles, including: CAD software, Word Processors, Spreadsheets, Web-Design, Cryptography, Education & Teaching, Public Speaking and Presenting.
Shari Chiara is the Program Manager for IBM Z Champions, Community, and New to Z. Passionate about building community engagement and advocacy, she uses her flair for making meaningful, deep connections to help community members achieve professional eminence. Previously Shari was the Program Director and COO at IBM for Call for Code a global tech for good initiative that inspires developers and innovators to create practical, effective, and high-quality applications that can have an immediate and lasting impact on humanitarian issues as sustainable open source projects. Shari specializes in business development, ecosystem building, community and client engagement, and thought leadership. Building on 30+ years of experience at IBM, she has led engagements with startups, Independent Software Vendors, and clients. She is a mom of two and is passionate about STEAM and mentorship.
